Alessandro Serri and Edmondo Romano started their collaboration at the end of 1984 and in 1985 they founded the ERIS PLUVIA, a group made up by seven elements with which they took several concerts and theatrical performances ("Nascere sinopia", "Quasi trasfigurare", "ERIS PLUVIA") devoting themselves to a kind of music which ranged from psychedelic-progressive rock to experimental music.

From 1986 to 1989 the group changed several members and in 1990 it realized "Pushing Together", a self-produced demo including some pieces which appeared on the CD "Rings of earthly light" realeased in 1991 by the French label Musea.

In December 1992 Alessandro Serri left the group. During 1993 the ERIS PLUVIA, with a different band, took concert in Italy and abroad .

At the end of 1993 also Edmondo Romano left the group and he realized with Alessandro Serri THE ANCIENT VEIL project which released in December 1993 the demo "Morning After" including four pieces.

In 1994 they realized the soundtrack for the theatrical performance "La Siepe" and, during the same year, Edmondo Romano founded the AVARTA, a group of world music and musical research which took part to THE ANCIENT VEIL project realizing an acoustic cover version of the song "The Lamia" on the CD tributed to Genesis " The river of costant change ", released by Mellow Records.

In 1995 Alessandro Serri and Edmondo Romano realized the album " The Ancient Veil" featuring several musicians whith different musical background, released by Mellow Records.
