S.P.Gulliver
(real name Slava Petchnikov) is the ex-member of legendary Estonian prog group
Ruja.
His
all-instrumental solo effort fits well into the "electronic / progressive /
new-age" category.
Consists
of two long opuses: "The Coasts of Endlessness" (suite for the
synthesizer, 14 parts) and "Metamorphosis" (sonata for a violin and
the synthesizer, 3 parts). The compositions were inspired by various
science-fiction and fantasy books and therefore have definite "fantasy feel".
The arrangements are very fine and precise and are full of "unearthly"
synthetic sounds + a real violin on Metamorphosis".

inventive, mainly based on the keyboards but with a wide variety of sounds.
The sound quality is not perfect but good enough to enjoy. A missing link
between Alphataurus, Corte dei Miracoli and Panna Fredda.

in the style of the Quidam band from Poland.(Trama singer
is really promising!) A typical neo-progressive melodic band with a mix
of sophistication and energy. Nice guitar parts for a rich and dynamic
progressive music.

From Spain Mascarada consists of guitarist/percussionist/vocalist Daniel
Mares and keyboardist/flautist Juan Mares. Complex structures, nice
mellotron and flute melodies and instrumental developments powerful enough
to warrant epic treatment. The best progressive band from Spain and one of
the pleasant surprised from 98.
