RA
RA AVIS IN TERRIS
Au crepuscule du temps
CD - MMP 391
A new interesting
band from France and one of the best discoveries of the year.
Their music is a blend between the Pink Floyd of DSOFM and....the Japanese
band Far East Family band!! Also some Porcupine influences can be heard
here and there. Highly recommended band and one that you will hear more
of in the very near future.

ARMONITE
Inuit
CD - MMP
393
Another very
difficult band to compare, very original music indeeed. 2 violins,
a bass, a drummer and a keyboardist who plays flute! 8 instrumental
tracks, sometimes melodic with a very personal sound, sometimes
even close to UK!. Also some medieval influence can be heard here and
there. A different band with a bright future.

INTERFACE
Interface III CD - MMP
394
This fantastic
japanese band plays a Progressive rock very influenced by
King Crimson. The
virtuosity, the inventivity and a great melodic research give to their
music a great finesse. But there are also extreme energy in their music,
intensity that leaves the listener breathless. Really an extraordinary
album.

GARLIC
L'enigma della trottola CD - MMP
395
The band proposes
a frenetic, energetic and sharp music reminding of King
Crimson (an
improvised version of Starless is included) and the RIO style,
thanks to his
harmonic adventures and innovations and his instrumental power.

GREENWALL
Elektropuzzles CD - MMP
397
Here Mr. Pavoni
offers a music of relaxation and meditation, developing ethereal
melodies and creating a serene music, close to the sophisticated and
delicate new age and classically inspired music. But many tracks can be called
symphonic, don't worry!

MOONGARDEN
The Gates on Omega CD - MMP
398
A/B Sit
back and savour a classic album from Italy’s top band. People will be raving
for years to come about this masterpiece! Intensely melodic while retaining a
cutting edge and innovative approach to composition. This is by far the best
record the band have produced so far and no serious music lover should be
without. Evocative ballads, mesmerizing atmospheres, this album begs to be heard!

GROOVECTOR
Ultramarine CD - MMP
399
Oh well this band
from Finland is fantastic! They perform a progressive rock
that reminds me a lot the albums of the Swedish duo Hansson & Karlsson;
unusual suites, melodic alternate changes that generate new climates.
Grand piano, Hammond B3, dreamy, suggestive, impressionist and picturesque
music all based on the keyboards (2 keyboardists are in the band). A very rich
and sophisticated music, beautifully arranged. What more do
you need?

RAINS
Apokalyptische Stadt
CD - MMP
400
On this album the
band (tenor saxophone, two guitars and percussion) play a
complex jazz-rock
between some british jazz and improvised music,
integrating the
rhythmic structures of rock with jazz instrumentation.
